What is a Logo?

APPLE - The iMaker

The company's best-known hardware products are the Mac line of computers, iPod, iPhone and iPad. Apple's first logo, designed by Ron Wayne, depicts Sir Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree. The apple represents the fruit of Tree of Knowledge. Rob Janoff, said in an interview that though he was mindful of the “byte/bite” pun (Apple’s slogan back then: “Byte into an Apple”). Also used in rememberance to Alan Turing one of the fathers of Modern Computing who killed himself by biting into an apple laced with cyanide.

The company also produces consumer electronics - notably the Amazon Kindle e-book reader - and is a major provider of cloud computing services. The company was renamed after the Amazon River, one of the largest rivers in the world. The logo of Amazon has an arrow pointing from A to Z. This signifies that they sell everything from A to Z. The arrow also forms a smile.

FEDEX - The World On Time
